Annual Conference Youth Delegation:
Youth Are the Church of Today and Tomorrow
Annual Conference Youth Delegation consists of several parts:
Plenary:
Annual conference is mostly made up of the entire body of the conference
meeting in one centralized room. During plenary several issues are discussed
including items to vote on, the budget report, the bishop's award, and pastoral
appointments. Plenary can be long. Sometimes youth help adults keep awake during
plenary by providing a good conversation and activities to do at their table.
VIM:
VIM (Volunteers In Mission) is a hands on mission and outreach program that the people of annual
conference take part in. We as Christians feel that it is our duty to go out
Into the community and improve it in some way. VIM is one way we succeed in that
mission.
Worship:
Worship is attended twice daily. Each service is lead by a different person
or group and each has a different message. These services are very inspirational. On
Saturday the youth will be leading the afternoon service.
Youth meetings:
At the youth meeting we discuss the day's events and answer questions.
We get into small groups and hear guest speakers. This is our time to become closer
as youth who follow Christ.
Bible Study:
Every morning from 8:00 am until 9:00 AM the youth delegation attends a
youth Bible study. The Bible study's focus is usually on the importance of youth in
the church.
